The European Fine Art Fair is one of the famous festivals that art lovers and creative thinkers should not miss. Usually abbreviated to TEFAF, the fair is an annual exhibition featuring art, design and antiques.

TEFAF started in 1988, organised by The European Fine Art Foundation in Netherlands. TEFAF Maastricht, one of the many local arts and crafts shows that are featured on popular sites such as the Events and Festivals Blog, was initially formed after combining two Dutch fairs from the 1970s; De Antiquairs International and Pictura.

The European Fine Art Fair, organised by dealers, lasts for a period of 10 days and is known to attract over 70,000 visitors each year! TEFAF presents 260 world renowned galleries from 20 different countries showcasing the best work.

Visitors to the fair will also be able to purchase a variety of art pieces, jewellery etc. If you’re an avid art enthusiast, carry some extra cash as you leaving the fair with at least one art work! There are also a variety of performances from dance, theatre, opera and music for attendees to enjoy.

Being one of the oldest and largest art exhibitions in the world, The European Fine Art Fair is held at the MECC Maastricht in Netherlands.
