A change in setting

A nice change from the air-conditioned settings, this road is great if you’re looking for something more authentic. This stretch of road stretches through Hollywood Road Park, makes its way through SoHo and finishes in the heart of Central. If you want to get away from the gleaming malls and experience something different, a walk through this road is ideal! A small detour from Hollywood Road and you’ll find the bustling Cat Street and SoHo district.

How to get there

If you’re staying at Travelodge Central, Hollywood road then getting to this fascinating stretch won’t take long. The road is also walking distance from several other hotels, so it’s most convenient if you book a Hong Kong hotel near MTR, as Hollywood road can be reached by the MTR too. Most shops on Hollywood street open midday and close at 10 in the night, however, the bars and restaurants are open till way past midnight!

If you’re looking for authentic Chinese products and buzzing shopping experience, Hollywood road is the place to go. The stretch has quite a history, as this was where Chinese traders would sell their good to the British during the colonial times. You’ll also find tiny restaurants for when you need a break from the hustle and bustle.
