Kuala Lumpur is a shopping paradise with a plethora of retail therapy choices. You find many shops scattered around the country however it’s the large shopping malls that attract large crowds. In Bukit Bintang where shopping is at its peak, you get eight large shopping centres out of which Berjaya Time Square is one that stands out, especially due to its structure.

Located along Jalan Imbi this 48 storied twin tower complex is adjacent to the Berjaya Times Square Hotel, a well-sought after 5 Star Hotel in KL due to its convenient location. The shopping mall opened in 2003 and is currently the biggest building in Malaysia and is ranked as the ninth largest building in the world. A large number of KL’s tourists can be seen here each year. The largest branch of the Borders Bookstore chain can also be found at the mall since 2005 and you can travel to the KL Imbi Monorail station from the footbridge that links the two areas.

The ground floor of the building houses a food court where there’s a mix of culinary delight from around the world. Plenty of local cuisines, as well as international fare such as Japanese and Korean, are found here.

The shopping podium here is quite unique in comparison to other high-end shopping malls. Rather than hosting designer fashion brands, Time Square Shopping Mall is more about offering affordable apparel boutiques including the 29 Fashion, Gimme More Boutique, Anna’s, Body Glove, Sixty Fashion and more that are scattered throughout the mall. There are plenty more in store including to stores to specialty adult stores housed here. There is a wide range of tech and IT stores such as Acer, Apple, Canon, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, HTC, Lenovo, Samsung and more, for those looking to grab latest gadgets and gizmos.
