Amongst the most famous shopping hubs on the planet, Orchard Road in Singapore is a dream destination for shopaholics; of course, there’s more than just shopping to be enjoyed here.

Plan Your Visit

Stretching for more than two kilometres, this locale is best explored while staying at Orchard Road hotels from which you can conveniently plan shopping and sightseeing escapades. This area is also serviced by three MRT stops (Orchard, Somerset and Dhoby Ghaut), while you can easily walk between the many malls here.

You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to malls to visit; fashionistas will love the futuristic ION Orchard which offers everything from Louis Vuitton to Prada. Also of note is the Paragon Mall linked with Grand Park Orchard and home to the Gucci flagship store, Far East Plaza, Orchard Central and 313@Somerset to name a few.

Dining Options

You will no doubt work up quite an appetite after all that shopping! As you would expect, the malls have diverse options from food courts to fine dining venues. Amongst the best things to do in Orchard Road for foodies is to also savour dishes at Michelin star restaurants be it at Buona Terra, Sushi Kimura or Les Amis.

Emerald Hill

You also have easy access to the Emerald Hill area, popular for laidback nightlife in Singapore. This part of the city features traditional Peranakan shophouses and buildings with European-style designs; some of these have now been transformed into charming bars or pubs including No.5 Emerald Hill, Alley Bar and Acid Bar.
