One of the most popular markets in Chiang Mai would be Warorot Market. If you are a foodie who also loves shopping till you drop, then this is the place for you to visit without fail on your holiday in Thailand.

Warorot Market

This market is not the typical touristy market you would find elsewhere in Thailand because the products sold here are aimed at locals. The 2nd and 3rd floors of the building have been set aside for clothes (not branded) and everyday items for locals.

Location

The market is situated on the Chiang Mai road near the River Ping towards the North of Chiang Mai night bazaar. Warorot Market is an easy 13-minute walk from most Chiang Mai residences and a mere 8-minute drive away from hotels like Anantara Chiang Mai Serviced Suites.

Food treats to snack on

Most of the tourists who do visit this market come mainly for the delicious street food served here. Find all sorts of grilled meat and sweet treats just waiting for you to taste!

More information

The prices at Warorot Market are much cheaper than the more touristy markets. However, there is nothing of interest when it comes to the merchandise section here. Also, keep in mind that since the market caters to locals, there will be no souvenir material here.
