Located on Jalan Kartika Plaza in South Kuta and just 10 minutes from the airport is the massive four-storey Discovery Mall. It is one of the largest in Bali and by far the largest in Kuta featuring many popular brands and outlets. The Mall is just steps away from the shore line and is essentially an all in one stop for those that don’t want to deal with the hassle of bargaining. An ideal option would be to stay at Bali family resorts such as Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali which makes an ideal base for your shopping adventures.

Travellers will enjoy a number of options for souvenirs and gifts, while more serious shoppers will want to get out their walking shoes to cover the whole mall and scout around for the trendiest fashion at the best prices. There are a number of international brands available in the mall including Billabong, Guess, Converse, Giordano, MotherCare and Nine West to name a few, as well as a number of local brands like Batik Keris, Bin House, Remett and Rumah Kita. The mall also has two very good department stores called Sogo and Centro, and a number of stalls in the arcade that resemble a bazaar and are great for snagging a bargain, especially during sale periods.

The number of food options and restaurants is simply overwhelming with a mix of local and international chains featuring everything from fast food and coffee to á la carte dining and a smattering of local favorites.

The mall isn’t only for shopping though and features a number of different activities including free Balinese dance lessons for kids, live entertainment on the weekends, and travelers should be sure to check the timings for the malls’ special “Movie under the Moon Light”. In addition the mall has convenient access to the beach and is a good point from which to go exploring Kuta beach.
